June 30, 2009. Criminal lawyer and journalist Dignelis Jimenez was awarded with the Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2009 title after Angelica Medina's withdrawal due to a family member's illness. Dignelis was Puerto Rico's candidate in both Miss International and Miss Tourism World contests back in 2003.

June 29, 2009. Cherie Gardiner won the 2009 Miss Northern Ireland pageant and will represent her country at Miss World 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa on December. Cherie is only 17 years old and an A-level student from Bangor. Francesca Pollock became the 1st runner-up while Jenny Curran was the 2nd runner-up.

June 28, 2009. Ayesha Gilani from Lahore and Washington DC won the 7th Miss Pakistan World pageant. She is a model and a resident beauty expert of Sapna Magazine in the United States. Ayesha could possibly represent Pakistan at the 2009 Miss Earth pageant on October.

June 28, 2009. The Miss Universe Ghana commitee crowned Jennifer Victoria Koranteng as Ghana's 2009 Miss Universe candidate. Jennifer, a 22 year old Psychology Major graduate of the University of Ghana, won the title during a closed-door pageant held at La Palm Royal Hotel in Accra. Daphne Grace Allotey became the 1st runner-up, while Naa Amuah Alberto Darko bagged the 2nd runner-up position.

June 27, 2009. The Miss Gibraltar 2009 title was won by Kaiane Aldorino at the Alameda Open Air Theatre. Kaiane will represent the British territory at the 2009 Miss World in Johannesburg, South Africa. Maxine De La Rosa and Jordana Lavagna were the 1st and 2nd Princesses.

June 27, 2009. Nineteen year-old Avalon-Chanel Weyzig won the new edition of Miss Universe Nederland (Netherlands) pageant organized by a Kim Kotter. She will represent the Netherlands at Miss Universe 2009 in the Bahamas. Stephanie Bos and Stevie Hartmann were the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.

June 27, 2009. Elena Bianca Constantin, the blond beauty from Piatra-Neamt, won the 2009 Miss Universe Romania crown in Bucharest. Elena beat 22 other candidates and gave her the chance to become Romania's returning delegate to Miss Universe after 10 years of absence in the pageant.

June 27, 2009. The new Tahitian beauty crowned as Miss Tahiti 2009 was Puahinano Bonno. She will represent Tahiti at Miss Earth 2009 on October. The 1st Dauphine title went to Niuriki Teremate, the 2nd Dauphine was Mereani Meyrand while Hemata Lucas won the Miss Heiva title.

June 26, 2009. Graziella Rogers won the 2009 Miss Earth Schweiz (Switzerland) crown during the competition's national finals held at Fevi in Locarno. Graziella will compete with other international beauties at the 2009 Miss Earth finals on Ocyober.

June 26, 2009. Twenty year-old model Diana Donnelly was crowned as the new Miss Universe Ireland in Dublin. Diana will be sent to the Bahamas on August for the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant.

June 26, 2009. Martine Andraos won the 2009 Miss Lebanon Beauty Pageant held in Adma. The 18 year-old beauty will represent Lebanon at Miss World 2009 and Miss Universe 2010. Marie-Ange Sebaaly was the 1st runner-up while Celine Hassoun beacme the 2nd runner-up.

June 21, 2009. Sofo Romanishvili won the 2009 Miss Bikini Georgia contest and gave her the opportunity to compete as Miss Georgia in Miss Earth 2010. Her runners-up include Maria Sarchimelia and Diana Antoniani. Last year's Miss Bikini Georgia Nona Diakonidze will be Georgia's Miss Earth 2009 candidate.

June 21, 2009. Ksenia Shipilova, the 2nd runner-up in the 2009 Miss Russia beauty contest was selected to represent Russia at the Miss World competition to be held in Johannesburg on December. The selection was made when the Miss World Organization refuses to accept the entry of the current Miss Russia winner Sofia Rudieva -due to her controversial photos.

June 21, 2009. Twenty-three year-old actress and model Patricia Rosales was chosen to represent Cuba at the 2009 Miss International pageant. The Miss Cuba Organization has just obtained the license to officialy send a Cuban candidate in the said grand slam pageant.

June 20, 2009. Mayella Mena will be El Salvador's Miss Universe 2009 representative after winning the Nuestra Belleza El Salvador 2009 crown in San Salvador over 12 other candidates. Andrea Clamount became the 1st runner-up, Pamela Silva was the 2nd runner-up, Bessy Quiñónez had the 3rd runner-up spot and Michelle Bustamante placed as 4th runner-up.

June 20, 2009. Nineteen year-old Jing Yao Wang was crowned as Miss China Universe 2009. Jing will be China's delegate to the Miss Universe contest in the Bahamas on August. Yu Jun Liu and Mei Qi Li were the runners-up in the said national pageant.

June 17, 2009. Bellezas Panama has crowned two Panaman grand slam beauty queens at the Salón Centernario del Hotel El Panamá. Geraldine Higuera was chosen as Miss Earth Panama 2009 and will compete at Miss Earth in the Philippines, while Joyce Jacobi was awarded the Miss International Panama 2009 title and will be the delegate for Miss International in Macau. Silvia Castro and Stephanie Tom were the runners-up in the said competition.

June 15, 2009. Greece's grand slam beauty queens for 2009 has been chosen. Star Hellas 2009 is Vivianna Kampanile (for Miss Universe), Miss Hellas is Alkistis Anynanti (for Miss World), B Star Hellas is Daiana Igropoulou (for Miss Earth) and Margarita Papandreou is B Miss Hellas (for Miss International). Other winners were: Katerina Skourli as Miss Young, Joanna Papayiannis as B Miss Young and Christiana Gargaropoulou as Miss Tourism.

June 15, 2009. Magalie Thierry, a 22 year-old professional model, won the 2009 Miss Earth France title and gave her the opportunity to compete at Miss Earth 2009 in the Philippines. Magalie is a pageant veteran and a former Miss Haute-saone and Miss France-comte titleholder.

June 14, 2009. Andrea Sarac of Gacka won the title of Miss Bosnia i Herzegovina za Miss Svijeta (Miss Bosnia and Herzegovina for Miss World) 2009 in Branko. She will be sent to South Africa on December for the Miss World international finals. Close to the title were the 1st runner-up Lenka Casar and 2nd runner-up Sabina Vodenicarevic.

June 13, 2009. Sierra Leonean international super star, Mariatu Kargbo who is based in China has been crowned Miss Sierra Leone 2009 at the annual Madam Yoko Entertainment pageant. Mariatu will compete in Miss World 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Ramatu Wurie and Haja Fanta Bah were awarded the 1st and 2nd runner-up titles, respectively.

June 13, 2009. Alice Taticchi of Umbria is the Miss Mondo Italia 2009 winner. Nineteen year-old Alice will be Italy's delegate to Miss World 2009 in South Africa. The pageant was held at the Marina Bleu Salento in Galipolli.

June 14, 2009. Ivana Vasilj became the winner of the 2009 Miss Hrvatske national pageant held in Zagreb. The blond beauty will be Croatia's representative to the 2009 Miss World contest in Johannesburg, South Africa on December.

June 12, 2009. The Sambil Models 2009 contest has crowned Venezuela's delegate to Miss Earth 2009 in Margarita Island. Top contest favorite Jessica Barboza from Maracaibo emerged as the winner, giving her the chance to be sent to Manila this October. Her runners-up include Andreina Gómez (Miss Continente Americano Venezuela), Nataly Navas, Juliana Leal, and Sara Angelinix.

June 10, 2009. Maria Luisa Santos was crowned as Miss Earth Guam 2009 at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort. She will represent the Island of Guam at Miss Earth 2009 in the Philippines. Her court includes: Tonilynn Taitano Dotts (Miss Air Guam), Tiffany Degracia (Miss Water Guam) and Shirley Chu (Miss Fire Guam).

June 07, 2009. Tenzin Choezom, a 20-year-old student from Dharamshala, was crowned the new Miss Tibet for 2009 amidst a roaring crowd of over 2000 people gathered at TIPA from all across the world. Ngawang Choying, was adjudged the first runner-up, while Yeshi lhamo became the second runner-up.

June 06, 2009. The Windhoek Country Club & Resort held the 2009 Miss Namibia contest. Emerged as the winner was Happie Ntelamo who will compete in Miss World 2009 in South Africa. Tanya Schemmer was the 1st Princess while Susan van Zyl was the 2nd Princess.

June 06, 2009. Twenty-one year-old Renate Cerljen is Miss Universe Sweden for 2009. She will be Sweden's returning delegate after a two-year absence in the Miss Universe competition. The 1st runner-up was Michaela Savic and the 2nd runner-up was Alexandra Rydeström.

June 06, 2009. Miss Earth South Africa 2009 was crowned at the Emperors Palace. 20 year-old Chanel Grantham is the first Coastal beauty to take the title. The runners-up were Cherise Biagio of Johannesburg, Maxzell Lerm from Hermanus and Mahlatse Mkhawana of Soweto. Grantham is a BSc Property Management student and will represent SA at Miss Earth 2009 to take place in the Philippines later this year.

June 05, 2009. Karenina Sunny Halim from DKI Jakarta bagged the Miss Indonesia 2009 crown and title. Karenina have 6 diplomas from the Christian Home Schooling and is currently teaching tsunami-victim children. She will represent Indonesia at Miss World 2009 in South Africa.
