June 30, 2009. Criminal lawyer and journalist Dignelis Jimenez was awarded with the Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2009 title after Angelica Medina's withdrawal due to a family member's illness. Dignelis was Puerto Rico's candidate in both Miss International and Miss Tourism World contests back in 2003. |

June 29, 2009. Cherie Gardiner won the 2009 Miss Northern Ireland pageant and will represent her country at Miss World 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa on December. Cherie is only 17 years old and an A-level student from Bangor. Francesca Pollock became the 1st runner-up while Jenny Curran was the 2nd runner-up. |

June 28, 2009. The Miss Universe Ghana commitee crowned Jennifer Victoria Koranteng as Ghana's 2009 Miss Universe candidate. Jennifer, a 22 year old Psychology Major graduate of the University of Ghana, won the title during a closed-door pageant held at La Palm Royal Hotel in Accra. Daphne Grace Allotey became the 1st runner-up, while Naa Amuah Alberto Darko bagged the 2nd runner-up position. |

June 27, 2009. Nineteen year-old Avalon-Chanel Weyzig won the new edition of Miss Universe Nederland (Netherlands) pageant organized by a Kim Kotter. She will represent the Netherlands at Miss Universe 2009 in the Bahamas. Stephanie Bos and Stevie Hartmann were the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. |

June 27, 2009. Elena Bianca Constantin, the blond beauty from Piatra-Neamt, won the 2009 Miss Universe Romania crown in Bucharest. Elena beat 22 other candidates and gave her the chance to become Romania's returning delegate to Miss Universe after 10 years of absence in the pageant. |

June 20, 2009. Mayella Mena will be El Salvador's Miss Universe 2009 representative after winning the Nuestra Belleza El Salvador 2009 crown in San Salvador over 12 other candidates. Andrea Clamount became the 1st runner-up, Pamela Silva was the 2nd runner-up, Bessy Quiñónez had the 3rd runner-up spot and Michelle Bustamante placed as 4th runner-up. |

June 17, 2009. Bellezas Panama has crowned two Panaman grand slam beauty queens at the Salón Centernario del Hotel El Panamá. Geraldine Higuera was chosen as Miss Earth Panama 2009 and will compete at Miss Earth in the Philippines, while Joyce Jacobi was awarded the Miss International Panama 2009 title and will be the delegate for Miss International in Macau. Silvia Castro and Stephanie Tom were the runners-up in the said competition. |

Star Hellas 2009 is Vivianna Kampanile (for Miss Universe), Miss Hellas is Alkistis Anynanti (for Miss World), B Star Hellas is Daiana Igropoulou (for Miss Earth) and Margarita Papandreou is B Miss Hellas (for Miss International). Other winners were: Katerina Skourli as Miss Young, Joanna Papayiannis as B Miss Young and Christiana Gargaropoulou as Miss Tourism. |

June 06, 2009. Miss Earth South Africa 2009 was crowned at the Emperors Palace. 20 year-old Chanel Grantham is the first Coastal beauty to take the title. The runners-up were Cherise Biagio of Johannesburg, Maxzell Lerm from Hermanus and Mahlatse Mkhawana of Soweto. Grantham is a BSc Property Management student and will represent SA at Miss Earth 2009 to take place in the Philippines later this year. |
