June 29, 2008. The new Miss Bahamas World was crowned before a capacity crowd at the Wyndham Nassau Resort's Rainforest Theatre. She is 21 year old Tinnyse Johnson who had entered the pageant as Miss Fox Phone Card Center. She will compete in the Miss World pageant in Ukraine on October 4th. The 1st runner-up position went to Tiara Cooper, while Crystal Bethel was the 2nd runner-up.

June 29, 2008. Daniele Sampaio, the representative of the Latin community of Italy was crowned Miss Latin America 2008 in an elegant and colorful event participated by 23 latina beauties from all over the world. Daniele is a 24 year-old model studying in a grammar school. The 1st runner-up was Carolyne Aquino from the Dominican Republic and the 2nd runner-up was Patricia Ruiz from Catalonia (Spain).

June 28, 2008. Charlotte Lagauzere from Bayonne won the 2008 Miss Earth France title during grand finals night organized by the Comité Miss Francophonie. Twenty-four year-old Charlotte is a Sports Instructor at a university in her country.

June 24, 2008. Nineteen year-old Fiorella Migliore of Paraguay won the Miss Italia nel Mondo 2008 crown during the finals held at the Palazzo del Turismo di Jesolo in Venice. She is currently a Marketing and Publicity student at the Universidad Americana. Robin Hamersteen of the Benelux and Sian Ryan of South Africa were the rest of the finalists. The winners were chosen through televoting.

June 23, 2008. Twenty-one year-old Simone Kristen Burke, from St. Andrew, was chosen to represent Jamaica in the 2008 Miss Earth pageant. Simone, the 1st Miss Earth Jamaica titleholder, is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Science degree programme in Biochemistry at the University of West Indies and plans to pursue a degree in Veterinaty Medicine.

June 21, 2008. The 2008 winners of the Miss Earth South Africa were crowned last night at Emperors Palace. Limpopo beauty, Matapa Maila was crowned the winner, followed by Kim Senogles of Cape Town, Denise Schoeman from the Garden Route and Lebogang Keagile from Midrand. The winners will be actively involved in greening initiatives, educational workshops and sustainable environmental work through the next year. Matapa will represent South Africa at the Miss Earth pageant amongst other international delegates in October to November.

June 20, 2008. A six feet-two inches tall beauty won the 2008 Miss Sierra Leone contest. Twenty-two year-old Tyrilla Gouldson, who is currently working at the mobile company COMIUM, will represent her nation in Miss World and Miss Earth. The first runner-up was Luci Peeler.

June 20, 2008. Miss Meath, Sinead Noonan, beat 37 other beauties during the finals night of the 2008 Miss Ireland pageant held in Dublin. The twenty-one year-old beauty will then compete in the Miss World pageant in Ukraine. The 1st runner-up position went to Sarah Stoke of Laois and the 2nd runner-up spot for Aoife Gallagher of Clare.

June 19, 2008. Kelly Best from Michigan was crowned as the USA representative for Miss International. She is a 21 year old student at Michigan State University were she will soon earn her Business Communications Degree. Kelly has worked with, and contributed to a number of charities such as the R.I.F (Reading is Fundamental), Girls, Inc, The Grace Center of Hope, and the Special Olympics.

June 18, 2008. The second runner-up in the 2008 Belleza Argentina pageant Camila Solórzano Ayusa from Tucumán was chosen to represent Argentina in the 2008 Miss Earth Pageant. Camila is currently one of Argentina's top models.

June 17, 2008. The Gran Salon La Fiesta del Hotel Jaragua was the venue of the 2008 Miss Republica Domincana Tierra finals night. Diana Flores eventually won the coveted title and gave her the opportunity to represent the Dominican Republic in the 8th Miss Earth pageant this November. On the same event, Julian Espinal was awarded the Miss Ecoturismo Dominicana 2008 title.

June 17, 2008. Eighteen year-old beauty Maria Sten-Knudsen from Copenhagen was chosen as Miss Universe Denmark 2008. Maria, with a Congese ancestry, will be going to Vietnam for the 57th Miss Universe contest.

June 16, 2008. Judith Wilson from Ballinamallard won the Miss Northern Ireland title during the finale of the crowning ceremony held at the Europa Hotel in Belfast. Wilson is a 22-year-old music teacher at Foyle and Londonderry College. Few months from now, she will be competing with other national pageant winners for Miss World 2008 crown.

June 15, 2008. Sarah Adoley Addo won the main title at the reality show "Ghana's Most Beautiful" along with a Tata Safara 4X4 car, which she would use as a ceremonial car; a brand new Tata Indigo Saloon car for life; and GH¢3,000. Adoley will represent Ghana at Miss Earth in November.

June 15, 2008. The winner of the Miss World Sweden 2008 crown was Amanda Ulfdotter from Strömstad, she will be coming to Ukraine for the 58th Miss World finals. The runner-ups were Miss Stockholm and Miss Eskilstuna.

June 9, 2008. Adriana Reverón, Miss España 2007 1st runner-up, has been chosen to represent Spain in Miss Earth 2008. The 22 year-old beauty is currently studying Technical Architecture and a professional model.

June 8, 2008. Lynn Kelly, 21 years old, from Dublín beat 27 other beauties at the revived Miss Universe Ireland competition finals. The new Irish beauty queen will be flying immediately to Vietnam for the Miss Universe contest. Lorraine Turner placed second to Kelly. Miss Universe Ireland is now owned and headed by Andrea Roche, a former Miss Universe semi-finalist.

June 7, 2008. Claudia Russo, a 25 year-old beauty from Messina, was crowned Miss Mondo Italia 2008. She will be sent to compete in Miss World this October in Ukraine. On the same event, Incaldana Diletta Neri and Valentina Mascia wer chosen as 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.

June 7, 2008. Namibia will be represented in the 2008 Miss World pageant by Marelize Robberts. The twenty-one year-old beauty bagged the national crown at the Windhoek Country Club and Resort. Leani Roux of Windhoek was the 1st Princess and Kimera Markowitz-Karuuombe of Tsumeb was the 2nd Princess.

June 7, 2008. Massiel Vidal, Miss Callao, has won the Miss Peru Internacional crown and gave her the chance to compete in Miss International in Macau. The 1st runner-up was Miss Piura, Alejandra Pezet, will compete in Miss Young International contest, in Taiwan, while the 2nd runner-up was Miss Ica, will travel to Ecuador to represent Peru in the International Queen of Bananas pageant.

June 5, 2008. Global Business student Alejandra Arias, 20, was crowned Miss Panama International at the Panama Hotel during the 5th Anniversary of the pageant organized by Tania Hyman's Models and Talents. She will represent her country in Macau for the 48th Miss International contest. The 1st runner-up was Shassia Ubillus, 2nd runner-up Vilma Tuñón, 3rd runner-up Vanessa Wachter and 4th runner-up Mares Bernal.

June 5, 2008. Twenty year-old Maria Daniela Torrealba Pacheco bagged the Miss Earth Venezuela 2008 crown during the grand finals of the national pageant organized by the Sambil Mall. She will compete in Miss Earth this year. On the same event, Andrea Matthies was chosen as Miss Continente Americano Venezuela 2008 while Mariel Villalobos, María Laura Verde and Rosa Elena Zambrano were among the finalists.

June 3, 2008. Talat Model Management named Yusra Kadret as the new Miss Iraq 2008. She was 2nd runner-up in the recent Miss Iraq Pageant. Jessica Kadoorie, the 1st runner-up did not accept the title because she had already made other commitments. Myra Adel was the original Miss Iraq 2008 titleholder.

June 2, 2008. Jenniffer Chiong Estrada, a 24 year-old from Quetzaltenango, won the grand prize at the 2008 Miss Guatemala Universo contest. Jennifer will be going to Vietnam this month for the Miss Universe preliminaries and finals. Luz Yohana Marroquín Muñoz was the 1st runner-up, Ana Maribel Arana was the 2nd runner-up and Wendy Karina Albizure was the 3rd runner-up.

June 2, 2008. Natasha Paracha from Islamabad has been crowned the as sixth Miss Pakistan and will represent her country at the 2008 Miss Earth Pageant. Tahira Iqbal from Lahore, Nosheen Idrees from Jhelum, Binish Zaidi from Karachi and Samera Bilal from Gujrat were declared runners-up at the event. The Miss Pakistan contest was organized by the Miss Pakistan World Organization and despite not being held in the Pakistani soil, women from Pakistan made an affort to fly to Canada and participate in the said contest.

June 1, 2008. Tanja Vujičić, 17 years old, won the title Miss Bosnia i Herzegovina 2008 and will have the opportunity to compete in Miss World. This young lady from Nevesinje in Herzegovina is a well experienced beauty queen with Miss Sajma, Miss Herzegovina and Miss Balkan among her recent titles. Inaida Ibrahimović and Sanela Koprena were the runners-up.

June 1, 2008. Ronique Dellimore won the 2008 Miss Saint Vincent and the Grenadines crown during the Vincy Mas Carnival. The 23 year-old beauty is currently employed as an Administrative Assistant at LIAT (1974) Ltd. - the Caribbean Airline. Nekesha Adams and were declared first and second runners-up, respectively.

June 1, 2008. Creative Options, Inc, the Puerto Rican franchise holder for Miss International, chose Miriam Pabón Carrión as Miss Puerto Rico International 2008. She will be flown to Macau for the world finals on November. Miriam represented Juncos in Miss Mundo Puerto Rico earlier this year.
