Nataly Chilet Bustamante, a 23 year-old
veterinary student from Santiago, was chosen
by the Chilean Charm to represent Chile
in Miss World 2008. Nataly was a Miss Earth
Chile titleholder and a finalist in the
Miss Earth pageant back in 2005. Coincidentally,
her grandparent is from Ukraine - where
ther Miss World finals will be held. |

Twenty year-old Tiffany Simelane is the
new Miss Swaziland. She was crowned during
the controversial finals night held at the
Royal Swazi Sun’s Convention Centre.
Simelane will represent Swaziland in Miss

cried during her final walk and has exposed
unlikely experiences during her reign to

is 21-year old Charmaine Chinapen who is
a model and aspiring neurosurgeon at St
Johns University in New York. She will represnt
Belize in the Miss World 2008 pageant in
Kiev, Ukraine on October 4th. |

Nametso Ngwako, a second year broadcasting
student at Limkokwing University was crowned
Miss Earth Botswana at Maitisong. The 19
year old beauty old who hails from Serowe
beat 11 other contestants to scoop the title
and have the opportunity to represent her
country in Miss Earth 2008. Dimakatso Gopane,
Lucia Matlhatsa and Seneo Sesinyi settled
for Miss Botswana Air, Miss Botswana Water
and Miss Botswana Fire, respectively. |

Khatuna Skhirtladze, 18 years old from Tbilisi,
was crowned the new Miss Georgia 2008 during
the finals held at the city of Batumi participated
by 22 candidates. Khatuna will represent
Georgia in Miss World 2008 in Kiev, the
Ukraine. The 1st runner-up Lika Ordzhonikidze
will compete in Miss Universe 2009 while
Christina Dzidziguri was chosen as 2nd runner-up.

Sofia Larina, a 20 year-old student of the
Siberian State University of Railway Communication,
who was representing the Kemerovo region,
won the Krasa Rossii (Russian Beauty) 2008
title. The other winners were Vice Miss
Ekaterina Kopylova (of Tver) and the II
Vice Miss was Zhanna Vlasevskaya (St.Petersburg). |

Raquel Sources, Bleise Masey and Dew Creek
were the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th runners-up,

1st runner-up was Vivian Noronha while Anelize
Garcia was the 2nd runner-up. Almeida will
represent Brazil in Miss World 2008. |

in Miss World 2008. |

Chloe Beth Morgan was crowned Miss Wales
2008. The 22-year-old sales assistant, who
lives in Cwmbran, scooped the prize against
56 other finalists. She recently qualified
as a fitness instructor and will represent
Wales in Miss World in the Ukraine later
this year. In second place was Leila James,
aged 21 from Cardiff, and third was Lauren
Knowles, 17, from Prestatyn. |

England finals was held at Troxy in East

were crowned during the 2008 Miss Bolivia
contest organized by Promociones Gloria.
Dominique Peltier (Cochabamba) won the ultimate
title Miss Bolivia 2008 and will have the
opportunity to compete in Miss Universe
2009. The other crowned beauties were: Jackelin
Arias (Beni) as Miss Bolivia Mundo, Laura
Olivera (Tarija) as Miss Bolivia Internacional
and Paula Penarrieta (Cochabamba) as Miss
Bolivia Tierra. Nicole Añes (Litoral)
was also chosen as Miss Bolivia Continente
Americano, while Susana Vaca (Santa Cruz),
Carolina Urquiola (La Paz) and Patricia
Núñez (Chuquisaca) were the
runners-up. |

Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza won the 5th
Miss Universe crown for her country. She
beat 79 other beauties from all over the
globe during the finals of the very first
Grand Slam Pageant for 2008 at the Crown
Convention Center in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
This year's runners-up were: Taliana Vargas (Colombia), Marianne Cruz-Gonzales (Dominican Republic), Vera Krasova (Russia) and Elisa Najera (Mexico). |

were: Leslie Bejarano Flores (Arequipa),
Pamela Ortiz Castro (La Libertad), Pamela
Stephanie Crovetto Mayuri (Ica) and Merrylin
Lourdes Witting Ubaldo (Callao). |

Sekki became Miss Cyprus and will compete
in Miss World 2008. Demetra Makriyianni
and Mari Vasileiou were the first and second
runners-up and will compete in Miss International
and Miss Europe this year, respectively. |

Jennifer Neves, 26, has been selected to
become the first delegate to represent Guam
in Miss Earth this Novemeber. According
to Miss Earth Guam national director Frank
B. Santos, in lieu of holding the pageant,
Neves was selected based on her pageant
experience and her ability to represent
the island. She is currently the first runner-up
in the Miss Guam Universe pageant. |

France was crowned Miss Cote d’Ivoire
at the end of the 12th edition of the beauty
pageant, beating 25 other hopefuls. Mariam
Koné Barakis and Tania Ncho, respectively
emerged first and second runner-up. For
this year’s edition, the Miss Cote
d’Ivoire Committee organized short
listings in France, mainly in Paris and
Toulouse. |
