November 26, 2007. Ingrid Marie Rivera won the 2008 Miss Puerto Rico Universe pageant despite someone trying to sabotage her. Pageant organizers said they hope to catch and expose whoever was responsible for dousing Rivera’s evening gowns with pepper spray and spiking her makeup, causing her to break out in hives. Someone also stole Rivera’s bag containing her gowns, makeup and credit cards. These acts were due to critic's claim that the Rivera had been receiving special treatment from pageant director Magali Febles. Rivera was also Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2005 winner and Miss World 2005 runner-up.

November 24, 2007. Barely twenty-four hours after earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU), Bendu Parker was crowned Saturday night at a glamorous and well-attended pageant held at the Unity Conference Center in Virginia as Miss Liberia 2007/2008. She will represent Liberia in Miss World 2008.

November 16, 2007. The 2007 Miss Honduras Belleza Nacional contest was held at the Hotel Copantl San Pedro Sula. Alejandra Mendoza, Miss La Lima, who is a medical student won the crown. She will compete in Miss Earth 2008. Dania Prince, a former Miss Earth titleholder from Honduras was the special guest in the event.

November 12, 2007. Taliana Vargas of Magdalena is the new Señorita Colombia and will represent her country to Miss Universe 2008. This year's Virreina (1st runner-up) is Bogota's Maria Cristina Diaz and will be Colombia's delegate to Miss International 2008.

November 11, 2007. Canada has won it's first Miss Earth title. Canadian-Russian-Asian beauty Jessica Nicole Trisko was crowned during the finals held at the UP Theater in Manila, Philippines. The multi-cultural and multilingual beauty beat 87 other candidates for the prestigious crown. Miss India Pooja Chitgopekar was the 1st runner-up, Miss Venezuela Silvana Santaelal was 2nd runner-up, and Miss Spain Angela Gomez was the 3rd runner-up.
