November 28, 2009. Mexican beauty Anagabriela Espinoza won the Miss International 2009 title at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, China. Her court includes Miss Korea Seo Eun-Mi as 1st runner-up and Miss United Kingdom Chloe-Beth Morgan as 2nd runner-up. It was the second victory for Mexico in the 49-year history of the pageant, the last time just 2 years ago when Priscilla Perales took the 2007 crown.
Espinoza, 21 , bested 64 other contestants. She represented Mexico in Miss World 2008 pageant where she placed in the Top 15.
The countries that made it to the semi-finals were Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Finland, Japan, Panama, the Philippines, Spain and Venezuela.
MISS EARTH 2009
November 22, 2009. Miss Brazil Larissa Ramos was crowned as the 9th Miss Earth in the island of Boracay. The new grand slam beauty queen is a biology student and the 2nd Miss Earth winner from her country.
Her runners-up were: Miss Philippines Sandra Seifet (Air), Miss Venezuela Jessica Barboza (Water) and Miss Spain Alejandra Echeverria (Fire). Finalists include Alejandra Castillo Munera (Colombia),
Pascale Nelide (Martinique), Izabela Wilczek (Poland) and Rujinan Phanseethum (Thailand).
Magalie Thierry (France), Nonna Diakonidze (Georgia), Shriya Kishore (India), Yeju Park (Korea), Kayleigh O'Reilly (Northern Ireland), Gabriela Rejala (Paraguay), Valerie Lim (Singapore) and Chanel Grantham (South Africa) were named as semi-finalists.
Miss Universe Curacao 2010
November 21, 2009. Twenty year-old Safira de Wit won the 2010 Miss Curacao Universe beauty competition and will represent the island of Curacao at the Miss Universe 2010 pageant. The runner ups were Hayley Canword (1st) and Erica Sample (2nd).
Senorita Colombia 2010
November 16, 2009. Natalia Navarro Galvis from Bolivar was the winner of Señorita Colombia 2009. Natalia, an International Finance graduate from the University of Florida, will represent Colombia at Miss Universe 2010. Leydi Viviana Gomez from Meta was awarded as Virreina -who will compete in Miss International 2010. Carolina Rodrìguez Terreros (Cundinamarca), Helena Velez Sanchez (Antioquia) and Laura Carolina Nuñez (Atlantico) were the Princesas.
Miss Aruba 2010
November 15, 2009. Priscilla Nicole Lee, a 21-year old student at the University of Aruba, was declared as Miss Aruba 2010. She will represent the "one happy island" in the 59th Miss Universe contest. Ivana Werlman and Kimberly Kuiperi were the runners-up and will compete in Miss World and Miss International contests for 2010.
MIss Universe Puerto Rico 2010
November 12, 2009. Mariana Paola Vicente, Miss Rio Grande, was crowned Miss Univere Puerto Rico 2010 during the inaugural pageant of the national competition under PR Crown Entertainment and Runway Media Productions. The new Puerto Rican delegate to Miss Universe 2010 is a model and student at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. The runners-up were: Miss Carolina -Ariana Rodriguez (1st), Miss Cayey -Aideliz Hidalgo (2nd), Miss Mayaguez -Yeidy Enid Bosques (3rd) and Miss Hatillo -Coral Del Mar Casanova (4th).
Miss International China 2010
November 10, 2009. Qian Wang won the Miss International China title and will represent China in the 49th Miss International pageant which will take place in her hometown Chengdu. Li-Hui Han became the 1st runner-up, while Xiao-Tong Zhu was the second runner-up.
Miss Trinidad & Tobago 2010
November 8, 2009. La Toya Woods, a Psychology student won the 2010 Miss Trinidad & Tobago beauty contest at Hyatt Regency Trinidad. La Toya will represent the twin islands at the 2009 Miss Universe contest. Danille Prime placed as the 1st runner-up, while Sarah Radday became the 2nd runner-up.
