September 30, 2009. Giulia Simone Olsson won the 2009 Miss Earth Sweden title at Mest in Gotgatan 44, Stockholm. The 19 year-old student will compete at the 9th edition of the Miss Earth pageant in Boracay. The 1st runner-up was Maja Kadanik , while Isabelle Westerdahl placed as the 2nd runner-up. |

| Miss World Trinidad & Tobago 2009 |

September 28, 2009. Ashanna Arthur, a Biology degree holder from Glencoe bagged the Miss World Trinidad & Tobago crown at the Queen's Hall in Port of Spain. She will represent the twin islands at the 59th Miss World finals in Johannesburg. Chenelle Maloney became the 1st runner-up, while Danielle Tadieu placed as 2nd runner-up. |

September 26, 2009. Miss Derry, Laura Patterson, was crowned as Miss Ireland 2009 at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoighaire. The 19 year-old Law and Accountancy student will represent Ireland in the 59th Miss World pageant in Johannesburg. Laura is also the Miss Earth Newry contestant for Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2009, and was the Miss Teen Ireland winner 4 years ago. |

| Miss Uganda World 2009 |

September 26, 2009. A UK-based beauty won the 2009 Miss Uganda beauty pageant at the Imperial Royale Hotel. Maria Namiiro, 21, will represent Uganda at the 2009 Miss World contest in Johannesburg this December. Joan Atieno was the 1st Princess, while Caroline Nantumbwe placed as the 2nd Princess. Performance Production, organiser of Miss Uganda-UK, took over the Miss Uganda franchise this year. |

September 26, 2009. Twenty-year-old Mimi Areme, from the Volta Region, was crowned Miss Ghana 2009 at the Accra International Conference Centre. Mimi, an HND Marketing student of the Sunyani Polytechnic, will represent her country at Miss World 2010 in Nha Trang, Vietnam. Erica Maria Awini and Ayishetu Yauda were the runners-up. |

September 26, 2009. Miss Schweiz 2009 and Switzerland's representative to Miss Universe 2010 is Linda Fah. Linda is a 21-year old student from Kanton St. Galle. The national pageant held at The Arena in Geneva also awarded Tabea Schultess as the 1st runner-up and Tamina Schneider as 2nd runner-up. |

| Miss Venezuela 2009 |

September 24, 2009. The nation of beauty queens crowned its three grand slam titleholders for 2010. Marelisa Gibson Villegas from the state of Miranda beacme Miss Venezuela 2009 and will try to win its third crown in a row in Miss Universe 2010. The other winners were Adriana Vasini from Zulia who became Miss Venezuela Mundo; and Elizabeth Mosquera from Trujillo who was awarded as Miss Venezuela Internacional. The latter two will also compete in the 2010 edition of both Miss World and Miss International pageants, respectively. |

After last year's absence in the pageant world due to the government's opposition, The Hidden Treasure -organizers of Miss Nepal, renamed its contest to Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal and once again staged its national beauty contest. Zenisha Moktan won the title and will represent Nepal at the 2009 Miss World contest in Johannesburg. The 1st runner-up Richa Thapa will compete in the 9th edition of Miss Earth in Boracay. Moktan Tamang placed as the second runner-up. |

September 22, 2009. Star Hellas director Vassilis Prevelakis announced that Triantafyllia Sarantinou was chosen to represent Greece in the 2009 Miss Earth beauty pageant this November. Triantafyllia is studying Philosophy in Athens and speaks English, Greek and Italian. The original Miss Earth Greece Dayana Igropoulou will now compete in Miss International 2009. |

September 21, 2009. An 18 year-old student from Almaty bagged the 2009 Miss Kazakhstan crown during the national pageant held at the Astana Square, the event was dedicated to the Astana City Day. Symbat will represent her country in Miss Universe and Miss World pageants in 2010. |

September 20, 2009. Mandy Nandu from Sabah was chosen to represent Malaysia in the 9th edition of the Miss Earth Pageant in Boracay, Philippines this November. Mandy is also the current Miss Malaysia Model of the World winner. |

September 20, 2009. Jimena Navarrete from Jalisco won the 2009 Nuestra Belleza Mexico title and will have the opportunity to compete in Miss Universe 2010. Anabel Solis from Yucatan placed second as Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico -who will compete in Miss World 2010. Veronica Llamas from Zacatecas was the runner-up. The pageant was held in Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula, and was participated by 34 contestants. |

September 19, 2009. Twenty-four year-old beauty Melinda Heffernan was crowned as Miss Earth Australia 2009 in the University of New South Wales, Sydney. The national pageant was participated by 24 contestants from all over the country. She will compete as Miss Australia in the 2009 Miss Earth contest in Boracay on November 22. |

Alexandra Dumitrache from Mioveni and Otilia Tirpan from Constanta were the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. |

Leslie was last year's Miss Mundo Peru 1st runner-up. Danissa Zurek Rajkovik and Vanessa Trigos Núñe were the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. |

September 12, 2009. Roline Hund, 20 years old from Almere, was crowned as the first Miss International the Netherlands winner at the Claus Party House Event Center at Hoofddorp. She will be the Netherlands' delegate as it rejoins the Miss International beauty pageant since 2001. The Miss International the Netherlands is also the very first competition in the country for Miss International. Sharifa Henar from Amsterdam and Sanne Roffel from Drachten were the runners-up. |

Beatrice Blaise won the grand prize and will compete in Miss World 2009, Joelle Clamy was chosen Miss Guadeloupe for Miss International, while Marie-Ange Seymour was awarded the Miss Earth Guadeloupe title. |

Stephanie Peeck and Simone Goller were the runners-up. |

Miss Tierra Costa Rica was awarded to Malena Orozco and will be sent to the Philippines for Miss Earth 2009, while Jennifer Miranda became Miss International Costa Rica. |

The 25 year-old beauty has represented Ecuador in two minor international pageants in 2007 and 2008. She is currently an Odontology student at the Catholic University of Guayaquil. |
