Allison will compete in the Philippines for the Miss Earth finals on November. Miss Earth Turks and Caicos (formerly Miss Turks & Caicos Island) is the new official national pageant in the twin islands. |

July 25, 2009. Proclaimed as winner of the 2009 Miss World Peru contest was Claudia Maria Carrasco of Cuzco at Circuito de Aguas Park in Lima. Claudia wil be Peru's delegate to the 2009 Miss World contest on December. The runners-up were Tatiana Simon (Pasco), Jimena Rumini (Lima), Pieriangel Daniela Dodero (Arequipa), Maria Lourdes Mantilla (La Libertad) and Carolina Limo (Tumbes). |

Nothando Kanya went with the 1st Princess title while Thandeka Mncadi became the 2nd Princess. Nompilo will be competing at the 2009 Miss World contest in nearby South Africa on December. |

July 23, 2009. Miss Bayamon, Jennifer Colon Alvarado, was crowned Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2009 at the Tapia Theater in San Juan. Jennifer, who is an Artchitecture student and model will be Puerto Rico's Miss World 2009 candidate. The runners-up were Yara Liz Lasanta Santiago (Barranquitas), Melissa Serrano Flores (Vega Baja), Amanda Diaz Torres (Isabela) and Libni Garcia Pabellon (Juncos). |

July 22, 2009. Twenty-four year old Amy Diaz from Rhode Island wins the Miss Earth United States 2009 pageant held at Primm Valley Resort and Conference Center in Nevada. Her elemental court include Miss Air Danielle Bounds from Missouri, Miss Water Anastagia Pierre from Florida and Miss Fire Dani Reeves from Iowa. Amy will now serve as the Environmental Ambassadress in the US and will prepare to compete in Miss Earth 2009 on November. |

Shimali Perera and Ayeshani Dulangi were the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. The national pageant was a three-month long reality show broadcasted by TV Derana. |

Aspiring heptathlete, Rachel Christie has battled her way through the heats to make it through to the 2 days event to claim victory by being crowned as the new Miss England at the London Hilton Metropole. Rachel is the first black Miss England winner and will compete in the Miss World contest in Johannesburg on December. Kat Hodge was the 1st runner-up while Viki Bailey became the 2nd runner-up in the pageant participated by 53 finalists. |

Estibaliz Pereira from A Coruna will be representing Spain at Miss Universe and Miss World pageants this year, after winning the 2009 Miss Espana national pageant held in Cancun, Mexico. Carmen Garcia became the 1st runner-up while Alejandra Echevarria bagged the 2nd runner-up title. The finalists were Fatima Jimenez, Melania Santiago and Ara Jurado. Candidates for Miss International and Miss Earth will be selected among the runners-up and finalists. |

July 18, 2009. Carolyn Yapp, a stunning 25 year old Interior Designer was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2009 during a private coronation event held at The Refuge at Villa Ronai. Fallon Harris and Krystina Black were the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. Earlier this year, Pulse gave up the license to stage the Jamaica preliminary to Miss Universe. However, the Miss Universe Organization insisted on having a Jamaican candidate this year. This will be the final Miss Jamaica Universe that Pulse will send to the pageant, according to Pulse Chairman Kingsley Cooper. |

July 17, 2009. Two grand slam beauties from El Salvador has been crowned at the 2009 Reinado de El Salvador beauty pageant. Mayra Aldana won the Miss Earth El Salvador title and will compete at Miss Earth 2009 in the Philippines on November, while Vanessa Hueck was became Miss International El Salvador and will be sent to Macau for the Miss International contest. Other finalists who will compete on minor international contests were: Priscila Dubon, Melissa Herniques, Barbara Montiel and Iris Martinez. |

Kim, who is a graduate from the Bolshoi Ballet School, will represent Korea at Miss World 2009. The first runners-up were Cha Ye-lin (for Miss Universe 2010) and Seo Eun-mi (for Miss International). The second runners-up were Park Ye-ju (for Miss Earth), Choi Ji-hee, You Su-jung and Lee Seul-gi. |
